*The goldrider's eyes shut, she reclines against her lifemate's flank, absorbing the dragon's warmth and momentarily forgetting that two potentially dangerous dragonriders are alone in a room, with flit access to their Renegade partners, not to mention their two dragons are less than a dozen dragonlengths away. They sleep, Kylith's warm voice informs her. The flits return. Wake up and eat. S'sha's eyes open quietly, and she accepts a small pouch, no doubt stuffed with Igen and Herder goodies.

Korea, her petite queen, and Archallo, her first flit, each carry larger pouches, and immediately whisk into the Kennels proper. Korea drops her sack-o'-food into Kyssandra's lap, and Archallo's pouch goes to Z'yith. Without even a chattering comment, both flits wink into between.

Meanwhile, the rider's calm eyes follow their path, and then she opens the bag. Meatrolls; fishrolls; a small container of cold klah; biscuits; a still-warm pastry. "I have good little scavengers," she laughs quietly, eating as quickly and cleanly as womanly possible.*
