I'm about 1/2 through "Case of Charles Dexter Ward" and it's shaping up nicely but I read the rest of your list while away this weekend -- really good stuff!

Very interesting to read these all together -- especially
"The Shadow Over Innsmouth" and "The Thing on the Doorstep" as they deal with similar places and times and even reference each other (albeit in vague and mysterious ways). That completeness of setting makes the stories feel even more real (kinda like stumbling on an information cache in Redshore!)

Lovecraft writes in a rather archaic style that is more like Hawthorne than his contemporary Hemmingway . . . it can be a bit tedious at times but also adds to the sense of antiquity in his stories.
