I've read some of them -- and found some to be dull, but a few to be quite good. I have the book "The Xothic Cycle" which is all Lin Carter stories (save the last) and I found one of them to be excellent -- "something in the Moonlight" but others to be ok but not exceptional -- an ok read, but nothing to go searching for.

I think -- reading what I have read -- I can understand Lin Carter. Some of his stories are quite good. They seem to be a small percentage, but a large enough to have attracted attention. Others just seem -- story by numbers -- and he used those to make $$$ to live. So one must find the "exceptional ones" through a river of "medicore".
