I know the Nickel Strainers are around 49 bucks each. That is a bit steep. In the end are they really worth double the others?
Another thing, how has the de;iveries from DSH been? I have heard some nasty things about Andy and how he operates. He has a few nice things on his site but I am a little gunshy of parting with my money if he can't deliver the goods.
Personally, I am thinking about investing in a few strainers to see what I may like and to give my customers the option of selecting what they want. After all, isn't that what custom drums are all about? Of course that can tie up money that can be used more efficiently elsewhere.
Has anyone got opinions on which strainers currently available can make for good extended snare applications? I got spoiled many years ago by Radio King type extended snares. For some reason I just like them better, plus no snare beds even though they aren't a big deal.
