Do you want Tintagel and Bossiney to smell of human waste? The area will stink for � mile in all directions if South West Water are allowed to build a sewage screening plant on castle road. Their proposed location is half way down, near the bridge and stream, on the road leading down to Merlins cave and the castle!!! Human waste will also be pumped straight into the sea at two very close locations from here

Details: This screening plant only removes plastic and rubbish and will still allow raw sewage to flow into the sea at the proposed site of barras nose. There will also be a storage tanks only � miles away in Back Lane Bossiney, to be removed by tankers driving up and down the lane leaving raw liquid effluent to run into the sea at Gullastem.

South West Water are trying to split the Parish of Tintagel, by saying to us that Tintagel, Bossiney and Boscastle are three separate villages. Thus maintaining the cheapest option by providing three substandard treatment plants, instead of one modern one.

The residents believe that it will damage the environment, natural beauty and local businesses of Tintagel and surrounding areas we�re it to be allowed to smell of human waste. There will also be an increased risk to health as the coastline will be have segments of raw sewage littering the bays every low tied!.

The residents believe it is the wrong choice of treatment and inappropriate positioning that must be stopped NOW!!!, an alternative plan must be put in motion, that of combining all the villages sewage to be pumped to a site away from any dwellings and the coast. This, South West Water, has already demonstrated that they can do.

By splitting the towns into three, South West Water can claim that there isn�t enough people for a more costly treatment plant, yet Boscastle alone, a small village than Tintagel, can prove that they have more than 2000 residents at any one time, not including the summer months.

Right now we pay exorbitant water charges and are told to accept the cheapest possible sewage treatment that South West Water can provide. Any reasonable objections that have been made by us have been brushed aside by officials telling us that we have no option but to accept it. These officials are going ahead without public consultation, without our permission and without listening to our collective protest. Please support us, your objections must be made known to them NOW!!! � or its too late.

A public rally is to be held in Tintagel high street, where local media will be invited to attend � we will email the date soon.
