Leah grinned as he ducked down to kiss her, returning it sweetly and returning his grin with a little laugh. "Your dad helped me make a lasagne... its in the oven, you ready for it now?" She stood and headed into the kitchen eagerly- she was trying hard with her cooking and she had simple things like Lasagne and Spaghetti down, but she still wasn;t the best cook- though Luke never complained- teased perhaps- but never complained. She pulled the dish out of the oven and set it on the heatproof surface, pulling out a couple of plated for them and alex's bowl. She plated him up a large portion and herself a smaller one, and put some in a bowl with some tomato's for alex, cutting it all up into manageable peices for him. She liked when she could have dinner ready for him when he came home- she did her best to have the place tidy too. "Did you have a good day baby?" She asked as she sat down at the stable with her plate and a bowl full of salad for them to share, tucking her long blonde hair back from her face as she let him dig into the salad and take what he wanted.

He smiled warmly, pleased that his father had been there to help her with the food - his wife was trying but it was obvious who the cook was in the family, thank god he had inherited his father's talent. He went into the nursery first, checking on his little girl who was napping before he headed into the bedroom to change quickly into jeans and a t-shirt that proclaimed DUKE on it since college basketball was getting into full swing now before he settled back at the table and promptly began digging into the food.
