It frustrates me sooooo much when it is assumed that just because the tests come back negative for anything that your symptoms suddenly don't matter! The negative tests don't make the symptoms go away!!!! We still have to contend with them! We aren't magically cured!

SAM, I am so sorry for everything that you are going through. I have many, many symptoms, but I haven't suffered near as much as you. Sometimes I feel a little guilty about even seeking medical attention for the stuff I'm going through. I feel like it isn't bad enough.

Look, if you went to four different Phsyciatrists and they told you that your problem isn't a mental one, then it isn't a mental one. Out of the four at least one of them could have milked you for a while....telling you that your problems are from a bad childhood or from holding in your feelings, etc. With the absence of positive diagnostics the shrink could have made a pretty penny off of you. Your lucky that you found four honest ones. I know of people who weren't so lucky.

You aren't losing your mind and neither am I! Keep geting strength and support from this place and MGH. You know that we are in good company.

It's hard isn't it? When I first started on my journey to find out what was wrong with me I thought I wouldn't stop until I has some answers. But we get such mixed signals from the medical community. At first, if you are lucky , they will order the tests. But when they come back negative everything comes to a screeching halt. No answers are answered by no answers. We are literally set adrift on our own.

Sorry about the long post. It's just that things are bothering me these days!
