 With respect, Kontreadmiral Ehler Behring was not a 'chap'. To refer to him in such a simplistic manner is very disrepectful. KA Behring was one of the most important and accomplished Admirals of the Baltic war. His talent, acumen and insight into his brief as ,Detatched Admiral' were far superior to any of his contempories, on either side of the Northsea, or Baltic. For those who are not familiar with KA Behring, he is the the same class as Vizeadmiral Scheer, Vizeadmiral Graf von Spee and Vizeadmiral Hipper, as a very capable and fighting admiral, who fought at the front with his men and was not afraid to face death when it beckoned. His death in an automobile accident was tragic because he was one on those who could truely lead.
I am interested that know that you know of his grave.
