Had the idiot not dissolved WCW with his blinkered booking, we could have had one sports entertainment brand with the big men McMahon likes, and one for actual wrestling, with bookers like Paul E who can keep angles fresh. Unlike McMahon, Heyman gives talented wrestlers the opportunity to put themselves over by doing what they do well, wrestle, but also make their matches mean something. The only reason ECW went stale was because Paul ran so short of talent - look how over he got wrestlers in the early years before they jumped ship. The cruiserweights began to get over in the dying days of WCW because they were given the chance to wrestle and innovate. Yet somehow, we will never see Modest/Daniels or Malenko/Guerrero on WWF programming as we've seen on the other two in the past - it's the way McMahon works, put over the ageing draws and, in doing so, and by killing his competition, stifle the future of the industry. McMahon didn't have to dissolve the WCW brand make a joke of its workers, he just had to revamp it with fresh booking and marketing in order to make it an asset - his ego, as usual, made that silly decision. Guess we can still see Helms/Paris on Metal... wow, what a consolation.
