The reviews for KTS were mixed, to say the least, I don't think it got an F but I doubt this is a movie Brad should be very proud of....

I do tend to think that Hollywood shouldn't hold the main responsibility for tragedies like Newtown. I am not saying the violent movies/video games play zero part in it, but it is a pretty small fraction, compared to the two bigger issues: gun control and mental illnesses going untreated until its too late. I do not for the life of me understand how a woman that knew her son wasn't mentally all there, could have that kind of arsenal of guns in her house, one that clearly wasnt under enough security to where it wasnt very hard for him to get his hands on it!! I really wish he didn't kill her too so she could live the rest of her life with the guilt of raising this mental case around all those weapons, not getting him the treatment he needed, might I add, while also thinking it was perfectly ok to collect semi-automatic assault rifles and shit (and yes, I know, the poor broad loved hunting but pray tell why anyone needs use semi-automatic assault rifles for hunting, nobody is hunting zombies here!!) he may have been crazy but she wasnt. the blood of those children is as much with her as with the one who pulled the trigger. Sorry buddy, but other countries have violent movies too, heck, they watch all the same Hollywood movies we do and only in this country, can this keep happening over and over, only here do we have more than one unbelievably deadly shooting a year now (movie theaters, now elementary schools, nothing is safe anymore) how do you explain this? It can't be all Hollywood's fault....it's high time we stopped blaming everything but the obvious. I hope something finally gets done about gun control and fast....
Getting off my soap box now but I just couldn't not comment. I don't know how many more innocent lives have to be lost for the gun-loving population of the US to wake up and realize we can't keep playing "cowboys and Indians" and stubbornly stick to the right to bear arms without at least accepting some major restrictions need to be put in place....

On a lighter topic: In response to you asking what Silver Lining Playbook is about, you can google it to get the full synopsis, it's hard to explain but it's about a guy that's bipolar that snaps when his wife cheats on him and his life unravels but then he meets this girl that is also crazy in her own way, she's a widow and they sort of find each other and fall in love. It's also a really warm reflection on family and sticking together through thick and thin. Just watch it, it's a bit quirky movie but it touches the heart. In a world ripe with mental illness used for evil, this movie really makes you root for these characters, as flawed as they may be. It will make you laugh out loud a lot, it will def make you cry (I was crying halfway through the movie before anything sentimental was even happening, just at the anticipation of it lol) it's one of those movies that just sticks with u. Watch it, you won't be sorry. Would love to hear what you thought after you do.

Xo,
Myst
