I would have to see this movie to judge on my own but I also feel like , what is everyone up in arms about? When Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained came out last year, everyone were also commenting how violent it was, and similar subject matter. What's more, the N word flowed so freely in that movie (from the mouths of both black and white characters) that I felt like by the end of it, it didn't even seem shocking anymore...yet as controversial as that movie was, because it was Tarantino, people were cool about it. So why can't this poor Steve McQueen make a movie about slavery too? all I know is that I will reserve judgement till I see it for myself....
