..rokko came to the clearing where her horse was slowly and painfully lying down. tears began to stream down her face as she ran to his side and cradled his head in her lap..
*he looked up at his friend, the light dimming from his eyes. he whinnied painfully, comforted by the caress of his beloved companion. the fire in his eyes slowly went out and with a final breath on her arm meaning, i love you, he departed from this world.*
..tears ran down rokko's face as she sat in silent shock. she stroked his neck and face in disbelief. the reality of it all hit her and sobs wracked her body. barely audible, no no no's, parted sobs. she bent over his fallen form and rested her forehead on his cheek. she rocked back and forth, overcome with sorrow. so she sat, alone in a silent clearing, mourning the death of her closest friend and beloved companion. the bond between them was broken and her heart shattered beyond repair. her sobs echoed through the forest and the birds around the clearing were silent and bent their heads in sadness. a never-ending flood of tears washed the dirt and grime from her face. her body was numb with grief and she forgot the pain of her wounds as she absorbed the shock of losing a part of herself..
