"Not much new on the recording front. Getting ready to get back in to the swing of things, but I've been procrastinating. This is usually a pretty frustrating time for me where I get cold feet -- having all the material for an album ready to go, but afraid that what I record is not going to match what's in my head. It rarely does. But, this is what I feel I'm meant to be doing, so I just have to get my ass in gear and start recording."

Ah, couldn't have written better myself! Partly, because my native tongue is not english, but mostly, because it's just a stupid ache, kind of one, that is hard to explain. But I sure know, what you mean! I have loads of material, written lyrics and a lot of hummed and singed parts on tapes, but it's SO hard to actually start putting them together, altought you have all the material for a bunch of songs. I usually start by making a kind of a supportive midi track that has the structure of the song, so that I can play drums to it. Starting to actually make the midi track is the hardest part...
