In reply to your comments made earlier,i'd like to express my personal opinion to the points u raised and to the current situation at "town".
Firstly, i feel that the club has lost it's identity since merging with "big brother", and the sale of Houghton Road, which has been demolished. The partnership with Saints has never, and will never be equal (we have not been welcome since day one in some peoples eyes).
The money from the sale of the old ground was available for a financially stuggling rugby club, who gladly gobbled up the money in search of the stadia that never was.
As for the lack of support at Knowsley Road, the coverage of sport in the local papers throughout the town is poor, they should employ a press officer to promote all sport in the town.
In comparing us with Leigh RMI, u must realise we are in the middle of "rugby land", a fact that will never change.
Rugby people are rugby people, nothing else matters, ask people of Leigh, Warrington and Wigan, only recently have gates for Wigan Athletic improved. With all due respect, if u don't come from "rugby land" u will not appreciate the feelings of the locals towards football.
Finishing off,i didnt take any offense to comments u made, everyone is entitled an opinion and i for one appreciate u have taken time out to express yours.
As fans of non league football our voices need to be heard.
