Rugby hero wouldn't tackle head shave

England's rugby union captain wimped out of shaving off all his thick black hair for a beer advertising campaign.
Martin Johnson backed out of having a real haircut and computers were used to make him appear bald instead.

The images will go on posters with the new slogan of team sponsor Tetley's Bitter, "Everybody Wants A Nice Smooth Head".

Johnson was photographed by David Bailey for the images. His hair was later removed by computer, reports Planetrugby.com.

The 31-year-old said: "I was a bit worried that losing my hair might leave me open to more cuts on the head - it is a pretty physical game, after all.

"Having said that, I quite like the new look. My wife says I look a bit scary but I can't decide whether that's a good thing or a bad thing."
