Subject: I went down to Radio Shack and bought a uhf outdoor antenna the other night. Hooked it last night. Get alll the local channels now that was going to cost me a bunch with a different directv package. So for $29 plus tax I am set for local channels. I bought my 50 inch hdtv last year, and the over the air digital channels are as clear as the HD channels.
In reply to: Hap 's message, "Everybody has to get ready for HDTV by Feb. 17 and I heard on the news yesterday they're not going to have enough converters to go around by that time. I know some people are buying flat screens that are HDTV ready to get around the problem. Not everybody wants to connect to cable or satalite which are digital and need no converter. Is this another example of gov screw up?" on 07:19:58 01/08/09 Thu
