Massachusetts voters today embraced a ballot question to end greyhound racing in the state, rejecting track owners� arguments that the ban would cost jobs at a time of economic hardship in favor of protecting dogs from harm. The contentious ballot question passed amid emotional ad campaigns by both sides. Proponents used images of sad-eyed greyhounds that they say are caged inhumanely and raced to injury while opponents put the spotlight on the track employees who would be put out of work if the ballot question passed. The coalition argued that the ballot question would put the needs of dogs before the needs of people -- among them, some 1,000 employees of the state's two dog tracks who would lose their jobs. -- RODEO RAMBLINGS

I think PETA, SHARK, Osama Bin Ladin, and in fact all terriorists,Iran, local gangs and others who think like they do are happy this morning. Things are working out for them. Not to mention the druggies that never got anything going for them in life. I've put together a decent retirement but have nothing left over for them, but now I'm going to have to divy up for them because of "change."   - My home county was 60% McCain. The county where I was born was 70 some % McCain The county where I grew up, I don't want to talk about it. There's a reason I always knew I didn't want my kids to grow up there.     - How can you lighten up on them.... they still bashin Palin.... they demonstrating out in the Land of Fruits and Nuts over the gay marriage thing and filing lawsuits.... they think hunting animals is sooooo cruel..... none of the men have a deep voice.....they talk through their nose most of the time. Thats the biggest pet peeve I have always had about them. Maybe because my voice is extra deep. Keeps the grandson in line. I just have raise the volumn just a notch to get his attention.
