We're gettin' ready for our Memorial Day weekend rodeo. That's all we will have, a rodeo. The only way we can have one is with sponsors money. We sell sponsorships that get a ticket to our VIP area where they get free beer and food. We can sell out this area and only about 1/3 of them watch the rodeo. GM tickets are 5 bucks and we have empty seats. Ours is a CPRA show with $1,200.00 added. We are having to bribe our own members to even have a grand entry. Come on down if you like punkin' rollins. I make it a family event for my family and have to buy 12 tickets and the clowns stay at the ranch in my bunk house. Would you say that qualifys as a 'country' rodeo? -- RODEO RAMBLINGS

If I was going to pay to attend a rodeo, 9.9 times out of ten they couldn't pay me to suffer through the concert, but the cost of it would be added on to the ticket price. I am getting flash backs of some from the old days. When the timed event cattle arrived at intermission. Or they were still putting up the portable chutes during the grand entry. And after all that they inducted him into the Hall. Back in those days though, they hired girls to stand pivot for the grand entry. Then decided it was cheaper to add $50 and have a barrel race with the ground rule to stand pivot in the grand entry. (NT) -- Varmit, 16:47:23 04/13/07 Fri
