Subject: Good luck on gettin' some follow up rains. I am so under stocked right now that I will just let my pastures develop some root strength. Old grass will go into the winter with a lot stronger root system and can reach deeper for water the following year. It rained more today. No more water can soak in. It is very wet and every thing that falls runs off now. Trees and weeds are doing good too. I don't care much for either.

I see people complaining everywhere about the price of hay this year. Seems like a bunch of them got greedy and planted their hayfields into corn fields. Now corn has dropped a $1.00 a bushel. 30 inches of 35 normal, with 6 months left to go in the year, should make for some good fall and early grass this year for you.
