Subject: Didn't watch all of it... but my mistake I guess for not researching first... thought it was a documentary.... guess I gonna have to start checking every program I watch including those on the History channel. But even National Geographic picked a photo of the year that was a hoax..... geesh. But I could see where that is true..... 2 Indians in the northwest watching from a hill as railroad workers build a track and one Indian says to the other... " Why are they building a train track? I don't even see a train."
In reply to: rose 's message, "The mind wouldn't block out what it hasn't seen before though. It would make a correlation between the new image & something your mind already knows. In the case of the ships, probably canoes. That's why the baby's mind shuts down. Everything is new to a baby, so there is no past information to connect the image, sound, taste or feeling to. Without that connection it takes the mind longer to process the information. As people get older their mind doesn't shut down because of the information processing (that mind shuting down stops sometime around early childhood). That's simply because we have something to connect the new information too. By the way Varmit that wasn't a documentary you watched, but a mockumentary. They're making fun of documentarys. There were no actual scientist in the movie. I hear it's funny though, IS IT?" on 12:26:58 06/07/06 Wed
