Hi, Love the web site. I have had a love for the Lcars system ever since I've seen it for the first time when TNG first came out (if that was the first time it was used?)
I have just recently finished an MSD panel done with Adobe Illustrator of the USS Equinox and wanted to put a small color LCD screen down in the right hand corner of the panel. Before I take the MSD to the print shop to have it printed off there was one small problem that won't go away. There is something between the 1st layer of plexiglass and the artwork to keep light from bleeding in and I cannot figure this out. The rest was pretty basic. Layer 1 3mill plexiglass, Layer 2 unknown. Layer 3 artwork done on backlit material. Layer 4 another sheet of plexiglass. (same as the first). Then light box and a small section of the backlit material would be cut out and the small LCD screen would be placed behind the last layer of plexiglass. The effect is to turn on the panel and see the MSD, when the light was turned off you would see nothing; it would look like black glass. Any thoughts or suggestions.

Thanks Wayne
