Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah

Can one use an Ayat or Surah to make Tasbiha/Dhikr?

For example: the way one says Subhannallah 33 times; can one say Ayatul Kursi or Suratul Ikhlas 33 times?

As Salaamu Alaikoum,

Praise be to Allah.

This is not allowed nor from the Sunnah. The Prophet(saw) used to recite the name or attributes of Allah repeatedly as an act of remembrance, but never did he tell us to do the same for ayats or surats of the quran.

Anyone who innovates something new into Al-Islam will have it rejected..[Bukhari and Muslim]
