Praise be to Allah.

The correct way to approach non- muslims in regards to telling them about Islam is to teach them Tawheed.. the oneness of Allah. Teach them what it means to believe in Allah and his oneness. Teach them what it means to believe in his Books and Angels and Prophets, for this is what brings them to acceptance of Islam and is also the foundations of Islam.

If you are asking how does one go about doing this, it depends on if you are male or female. It is not the job of a woman to go out of her house standing on corners preaching...nor to go door to door preaching. A woman should stay in her home. However you can help to bring others to islam by doing things at home such as mailing flyers for others, answering phones and this kind of thing. Also remember all good deeds begin at home. You can concentrate on calling your relatives to Islam who are not Muslim...
