Praise be to Allah.

The Prophet(saw) said the worst of people is one who speaks without knowledge and he has warned us in many hadiths to avoid people who speak without knowledge.

Also, anyone who lies on Allah or his Prophet(saw) will take their seats in hell [Bukhari and muslim]

A person who speaks without knowledge is a person who tells you something about Islam but can not produce their proof.

A person who lies on Allah or his Prophet(saw) is a person who says Allah or the prophet(saw) said something which they did not say.

Tell the people who told you this to either produce their evidence from the Quran or Sunnah or keep Quiet. Also, avoid people who speak without knowledge.
