Assalaamu Alaykum

I know that once u get a khula u must wait one menstrual cycle before remarrying again...but in the case of waiting to remarry your husband, what if u find out that u are pregnant, can he just remarry you after finding out your pregnant or does he need to wait until the baby is born to remarry you...JazakAllahu Khairn

I consulted with Shaykh Abu Tayyeb and will re-answer this question:

If the woman who has been divorced by khula� is pregnant then her �iddah lasts until she gives birth, according to scholarly consensus. Al-Mughni, 11/227.

However, If you and your husband want to get back together now then you can do so and do not have to wait till the child is born. You simply remake another contract is all.

In the case of marrying another man who is not the father of your baby, only then must you wait till the child is born.
