Laila
I have had no relationship with this man, and now that we have grown to like each other, we would like to marry.
I would only convert for my own need and never for a man but only for myslef.
I am upset that his family could stop us marrying, and feel that they need to put him under this pressure.
I thought he would be free to marry anyone he likes and that he makes the choice.
I have never even touched this man, but feel things inside and want to marry him, and am sure he feels the same way.
Also for someone to convert is that no harder than someone born into Islam???
So you would say that this man could never be with me or even marry me?
Please help as i need advice and guidence.
Thanks

Dear Kelly,

Again there is no advice I can give to you. When a man decides to get married it is his parents right to present to him believing Muslim women whom they feel will make him a good wive.

There is no other advice I can give you on this issue.
