Assalamualaikum
I have recently reverted to Islam alhumdrillah. I have been reading books on Tawheed and various topics. And I realized that some scholars say some slightly different views on topics. I am little bit confused which one to follow.
I also purchased hadiths "Riyad-us-Saliheen" But I need some explanations from Scholars also. Who should I be talking to in order to understand the real meanings of topics in Hadiths ? Should I refer more strict view of scholars ? For example, not watching TV at all for any reason ( one scholar told me) or allowed to watch some news on TV? jazakallah
Wassalam

As Salaamu Alaikoum,

Praise be to Allah.

First of all congrads on embracing Islam. It is a decision that you will never regret.

Embracing Islam was just the first step.. now you have to go about the task of changing the way you live and think. Islam is not just a religion.. it is a way of life.

Allah has given us the best example to following in living our life.. and that example is the Prophet Muhammad(saw). However, it is not easy for one new to Islam to change their lives without the proper support and direction from other Muslims. Reading books are good... but you have to have understanding of what you read.

I suggest that you first surround yourself with other muslims. If you have not yet done so, go to a Masjid and get involved with the Muslims there so that they can help and support you.

Also, I suggest you join the live classes offered at our Website. We teach Tawheed, Fiqh, Hadiths and the basics of Islam. By participating in the classes at our website you will become well rounded in your knowledge and understanding of Islam.

Also you must be careful to take your information solely from the Quran and the Sunnah...not the opinions of others.

Join the classes at our website and thus we can help to guide you to proper understanding of your new way of life.

AND ALLAH KNOWS BEST
