Subject: Forced Marriage Author: M Saad [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 14:42:55 10/16/02 Wed Author Host/IP: webcacheH10a.cache.pol.co.uk/195.92.67.74 I would like to know if a girl was forced to marry, and after that she got pregnant, is this marriage wrong , if it is wrong can she marry another man without getting a divorce as the other man would not divorce her. 2nd if a girl married a guy out of her on choice but later on in the marriage she could not be with this guy and asked him for a divorce but would not let her go is there anything she can do to get out of this marriage ie can a sheikh divorce her from the man or does it mean untill the man divorces her she can do anything else many thanks [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ]

If a girl was forced to be married to some one, she could go to the court( judge) to ask for divorce,if she did not do that,then the marriage is correct. If she want to leave her husband,she can ask him for divorce,if he refused she can go to the court and ask either for divorce or for (khula,a)separation.
