Assalaamu Alaikum

Muslims rightfully suggest that the injeel (Gospels) and Torah's authenticity has been compromised, yet when they want to show proof to something they will often refer to the Scripture as saying "Jesus said this from his own mouth"...etc... Since the Holy Bible is not authentic, why would a Muslim use it for proof?

The reason is simple. The reason we refer to them is to show how distorted and corrupted they are. One part may say one thing and then another will say something else. Also, not everything in these books are lies. There are some things that are truth.. the problem is trying to figure which parts are truthful.
