assalam alaikum

i have a question. i am memorizing the quaran, and i have the intention to memorize all of it. but say i die tommorrow, will that intention help me out any way in the hereafter, because i remember reading a sahih hadeeth that Allah(swt) counts your deeds according to your intention. the reason why i am asking this is because i have only memorized 17 surahs, and the rasul(sas) said that if you are alive in the morning don't expect to be alive in the evening, and if your alive in the evening don't expect to be alive in the morning. because of that hadeeth i am always expecting death to come on to me, because it can come at any time.

�The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration was for what he emigrated for.�� (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, Bad� al-Wahy, 1).

Based on the above, inshallah yes your intentions will count for something...
