www.cocacola.com

Coke's website creates balance by the arrangement of mass. This means that large objects or graphics are evenly placed within the site and not all in one area. Coke does this very effectively by having their banner across the top of the page and a revolving graphic along the left side. The logo is very large at the bottom of the page. I think they use the recognition of their logo effectively. One only needs to see a portion of the logo to know that it belongs to Coca-Cola. They also use graphics that appear within gas bubbles throughout what could be considered the white space (even though in their case, their space is red.) I personally think that is a really clever approach. Overall, the site has a very balanced look.

http://www.fisher-price.com/us/sesame/

This is the site for Sesame Street toys. This site provides an example of radial symmetry, where the primary image emerges from the center. All of the other links within the site stem from this one focal point. Again, I think the concept is simple and clean. Kids (and their parents) are interested in the Sesame Street characters. Thus, making the characters the focal point of the site is a wise choice in this situation.
