OK, I'll admit, we turned out the lights and *pretended* not to be home BUT I have a legitimate excuse: we get over 800 (yes, 8-0-0) kids and it's non-stop from about 5:15pm til 10. I'm too old --not cheap-- for all that getting up and down shit. I put a sign on the porch that said "Happy Halloween, see you next year." No vandalism or "tricks." I just needed a break this year...
