The pull down that I mention (and Shawn on TV) is a pull of the right hand (for us righties). It's that pull down on the right against the extended left that:

o Moves the right elbow down in front of the hip
o Maintains the left arm/shaft angle
o Flattens the plane (very Moe trait).
