Written a few days after I first met Jackson:

There is a lonely heart before you
It needs to be cradled and told you'll be true
This lonely heart, everynight it cries
It wants to be held, and told it'll be all right
Every time I crawl into bed, trembling with fright
Will you come and comfort me, chase the monsters thru' the night?
When I'm walking among strangers, there faces uncaring
Could you walk beside me, to ensure how well I'm faring?
Would you hug me close to your heart
And quieten my soul with promises that we'd never part?
Especially when I'm shivering, because the world's so cold
Will you come along just to warm my soul?
When my wings are torn and they start to bleed
Would you stay with me until they are healed?
Sit by the window and watch with me the lightning of a storm
Stay under the covers with me and keep me warm?
So many things I can't see, nor can I discern
Will you do all this and need me in return?

Dedicated to Jackson, written during a Science exam.

Last night I had a nightmare
I dreamt you weren't there
I cried for you to no avail
As the nightmare master spun his tale
Throwing me into the dark
My only light a tiny spark
I stumbled over rocks and stones
While painful chills sank in my bones
But the spark kept lit
I felt indebted to it
It stayed till the dawn
Then it was gone
And in its place
Was your face
That pleasant morn
When hope was born.

Yesterday cried to me
"All is well and true
For tonight came to be
Just for loving you
Close your eyes, go to sleep
In a lover's arms
Smile with sweet dreams to reap
Safe and free from harm.
Winds will blow in the trees
Stars will twinkle high
Love will come in the breeze,
In a gentle sigh.
Wipe away lonely tears
Happiness awaits.
Shed away all those fears
Love is never late."
I awoke feeling free
All was well and true
This way I will be
Only loving you...
