When I come to you, you sit so small
I wonder if you feel anything at all
I bend over you and lift your chin
Into the tormented eyes and therein....

Little soul caught within strife
Unable to scream nor save his life
Trashing and flailing his weakening arms
Muffled cries as demons do him harm

He bursts free and begins to run
All demons give chase one by one
He escapes them but only for a while
And they again put him on trial

Testing his faith, his strength and spirit
Taking out his heart and corrupting all in it
Outside his mind, he begins to scream
Yet his eyes are closed, his mind in a dream

Achingly, I want to help set you free
But I don't know whether you would welcome me
Your words tremble with anguish and pain
As we stand together in the empty rain

Don't worry about whether all will be right
Allay your fears and carry on the fight
Don't put yourself down, you are not weak!
Your life is worth it, listen to me speak!

Hell is nothing but a mindful concept
You merely resign to it, or refuse to accept
You can fight it, you have it in you inside
Draw up your strength, you can turn the tide!

With soul-deep belief, you can rise!
You can once again have light in your eyes!
You are so young, you have so long to live
There is a heart inside you that has so much to give!

You are not alone, no matter what you do
There is always someone willing to be there too
