This is to mean I guess that he is just the type of guy that you would want to have a drink with, he seemed really down to earth. I do not see how picking a president should have anything to do with whether he or (perhaps she one of these days :-)), would make a good drinking buddy or friend. If the numbers of people who voted for Bush are not alarming then I don't know what is. Have any of these people heard the man speak? Anyway bottom line is that the comment might have been negative but it is sadly true of the American public.
