This is not correct. Rule 36.22 states, "... and
eliminate it with any dice roll equal to or less
than the squad firepower factor...."

The inclusion of the word "squad" in that sentence
it critical. So, the Light Machine Gun won't help
your squad take out an AFV (which seems reasonable
to me). :-)
