I agree completely. I would be really upset to take Virginia's bid away from them. Their 15-15 record may include wins over Long Island, Chaminade, East Tennessee State, Gardner-Webb, Liberty and Wofford; and they may have gone 1-8 down the stretch. But dagnabbit, they beat Kentucky and they deserve to be in the NIT.

Anybody who lost to Toledo is doomed, so I better not see 19-10 Siena or 19-12 Michigan State in the NIT either. Eastern Washington is also 18-12 with a couple of good wins, but they finished 5-6 as compared to UDM's 11-4 finish.

You know, the more numbers I look at, the less ridiculous a Titan NIT bid becomes. The locals may not deserve a bid, but neither do many of their rivals. I'd be happy with EWU, Boston U and Winthrop, but Baylor, Georgia Tech, Villanova being rewarded for a .500 finish when they play 15-18 home games with 3-6 games against teams UDM couldn't schedule because of the SOS implications makes me ill.
