Hey Titanmike,
I didn't intend for the new board to be a personal assault on you at all. After being totally frustrated by the load time for this board, and then not being able to log on at all for 2 days this past weekend I was just totally fed up.
I thought that I gave you some props in my last post for all the hard work that you have put in towards these boards over the years. But voyforums are just not very good as I mentioned in my emails to you some time back (or quite long ago as you say) and we discussed in the Titan Club. I've implemented a couple of the changes you mentioned to me before, and invested all of my time doing this for much less than the $3000 price tag you mentioned on your website. Namely, nothing.
I did not realize that you felt so personaly about this board. Kissing your wife? If I had to use an analogy I'd say it's closer to Animal Rescue rescuing a sick dog that had been on a chain all winter and was not being properly taken care of.
My intrest in creating the new board was mainly in saving myself time and everyone else time wasted waiting for the pages to load. Plus it's got a number of features and is much more customizable than this site. A lot of times, I just choose not to post anything hear because I knew it will be an ordeal before I was finished.
This is not something that I have done for the personal accolades (are there any?) of building a message board. And I'm not looking to steal your juice at all. As I mentioned in my previous post, the board is not quite finished developing and I wanted to get everyone's input on what else could be done. I would not be against putting the message board on your detroittitanhoops.com site, once things are finalized, provided that your server has decent speed and can handle PHP coding.
We are really on the same side here, I believe. We both want to help make the Titan fan experience the best it can be. I just didn't see a problem with giving everyone a word on how things should move ahead. Plus I was really pissed at the board going down on the weekend and wanted to do something about it fast. I'll give you a call tomorrow to discuss details on how things can be done the best.
