I have a new patient...see for the first time tomorrow...who has had chronic hives for over one year. He showed me the hives about the size of of silver dollars in various places on his body. the hives move from place to place and are VERY sore (he didn't mention itch?)ie: on the back of the neck prevent him from range of motion up & down. He wakes up in the nite with painful hives. He has tried EVERYTHING...MD, acupuncture, naturopath, chinese medicine, etc. Nothing helps....maybe predisone a bit, but side effects too great to continue. His eyes look sunk in his head and black rimmed.....drinks Coca Cola chronically. I am devising a wellness plan to go along with treatments obviously....he seems motivated. His mother (he's 31 years)is a cardio surgeon who accompanied with him on his initial consultation to see if I could help....she's very encouraging. Any suggestions, or similar cases. Oh, yes, should mention he thinks it is something that he ate that causes this...no reason in particular to think that, but just has a feeling. Thanks so very much for your input.
Health & Happiness,
Laurie
