Re: ...Isn't anything spectacular. -- Julian Emberson, 16:09:51 04/28/02 Sun
He rolled his eyes at her comment. "For one thing, if you couldn't already tell, I'm not frugal. Prada, Gucci, Canali, Gaultier, Boss, Kenneth Cole, Donna Karan --you name it, I have it. I don't much like to shop, per say, I just know where the best things are." He snorted. Now she was privy to something rather obvious. He stood up now, energy coming back from nowhere and picked up his duck, walking over to the duffel beside his backpack and neatly laying it in there. His rapier he put aside his things, flexing his fingers within his gloves. He turned his body to face her, running one hand through dry, blonde locks. "I used to fence with the Fencer's Club in New York. It was short-lived. My father taught me the rest, from the correct en guard position to riposte, to go for the kill after an veiled invitation... I suppose since it was one of the only athletic things I could participate in, I decided to. Besides, what good is it to have a rapier without perfecting how to use it with elegance?" His monologues seemed drawn out, repeated, even the slight emotion put into the questions.

Re: No, I'm Not Anything Spectacular -- Adrienne Cera DeeDrean, 17:13:38 04/28/02 Sun
"Oh I see your a poster child, gotta have the expensive stuff, or the latest look, well it would be nice but my father doesn't make that much money. Enough for what I need and occasionaly what I want, that is about it. You're lucky to be able to have those sorts of things. If I ever get really big in money I intend on breaking for humanity, putting my money into stopping polution, world hunger, animal extinction, and saving the rainforests. Of course thats a long shot" she said. She watched as he moved away and listen to the rest of what he had to say. "I'd cut myself the first time I touched it, I've got bad luck with sharp things. I could never handle sharp thing, better to handle round things..." she said pointing to the soccer ball. "You play soccer at all?" she asked.

Re: You've only yet to prove. -- Julian Emberson, 19:04:31 04/28/02 Sun
"If you have it, why not use it?" He shrugged and shook his head, and after removing the flask and its cap and swallowing the whiskey, he figuratively drowned in the feeling it gave his stomach. It was almost gone, the Glenlivet, and his bottle had run out. He'd have to resort to the half-bottle of marc de Burgogne he tired of before finishing. It wasn't whiskey, but he might as well before opening the bottle of Chivas Regal his... father had sent him nearly a month ago. "I don't play any other sport... wasn't much for it. Wasn't built for it, even," He said. His fingered the edge of the rapier before sliding it into its steel scabbard, setting that gently inside the same duffel. He zipped it up and hung it on his shoulder. He was lying when he said he wasn't built for sports, because he was very well conditioned. Although he was slight, his skin appear taut over muscles on his arms and chest. It was just that, well, despite his body's tone, he was still lithe. "Sports aren't my thing anyway."

Re: Forgive me for not wondering, I'm so sorry. -- Adrienne Cera DeeDrean, 15:36:36 04/29/02 Mon
"Well I don't know, even if I had it...it's just a phobia. Stuff you've got to overcome in time, but I thnk this is one of those fear things that sticks" she said. She rolled down her sock and showed a long scar almost all the way around her ankle. "This is what happens when I mess with knives, so my father says. I have feeling he makes things up though, because I don't remember that. I remember..something else" she said grasping the locket on her neck. She smiled, "Sports aren't your thing, and your not built for it?" she saked. "Well I'm not one to judge, I don't know your physical limitations, but you look made for sports! But sports aren't my thing either, I just kick soccer balls when I get really mad, or really bored, sometimes upset. Other than that sports...sports aren't for me. I prefer things that require my mind a little bit, like art stuff. You know music, painting, writing..that sort of thing. What about you, if sports isn't in your deck of cards, what is?" she asked curios.

Re: Whether Or Not You Could Be Different -- Adrienne Cera DeeDrean, 19:19:20 04/30/02 Tue
Adrienne looked at Julian, eyes kind of wondering what the meaning behind his questions were, but she knew what waiting for an answer was like. Looking away from him, incase a few tears escaped, she began. "My mom is dead...I live with my dad. He gets really secretive, and is a workaholic. He doesn't ever talk to me and doesn't understand who I am or what I do. SO I guess that answers your question" Adrienne said. She smiled, despite her feelings, and finished her conversation. "I like to write romances, it's weird, they always come out with same ending...I can't understand it, I do it without thinking. My cousin says it's manifest destiny, maybe so. But my voice is my music, my real asset. Even so...I'm partial to painting...it always turns into an emotion. Just self-expression" she said. "You read alot, why so much, is it important to know everything? If you eat the knowledge now, there won't be anything left on your plate...you'll still be hungry but there won't be anything left. You should save things for the wonders ahead".
