Batman and CatWoman!!! One of the very first NC-17 fanfics I ever read had Mulder and Scully going to a Halloween party dressed as Batman and Catwoman. . .I guess the image has kind of stayed with me.
Mulder has a lot of similarities to Bruce (Batman)Wayne, actually. He's tall, dark, handsome and wealthy, he was basically a loner until his "partner" came along (okay, okay, in *that* sense I get the "Scully as Robin" comparison)and he suffered a family-related tragedy in adolescence (with Batman it was the death of his parents in a robbery; with Mulder, obviously, it was Samantha's abduction).
