Spiritual notebook 11

These statements should be written in a 180 page spiral notebook (leave a blank line between statements – write on both sides of a page). This should leave many more pages free for more statements to be written in that notebook as you continue reading, learning, and developing as you go through life.

Having a notebook with vital statements and important Scriptures written in it can give you an effective way to keep your mind refreshed and occupied as you look at it repeatedly throughout the day.

----------------------------=

Jeremiah 10:10 But the Lord is the true God, He is the living God, an everlasting King; at His wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide His indignation.

Psalms 103:19 The LORD hath prepared His throne in the heavens; and His Kingdom ruleth over all.

Lamentations 5:19 Thou, O Lord, remainest forever; Thy throne from generation to generation.

Don't be "full of yourself"
- pharisitical - self-centered.
- think of others

A lot of doors get closed and the door that is open is the right door.

The stage of waiting for blessings to come is a very revealing stage.
- the stage of having lot's of blessings is also a revealing stage.

-----------------------------------=

Life has to be shaped by my character - not situations and circumstances.
- some people overcome despite bad circumstances and setbacks.

There should be a leap within your spirit when it is the right destiny hook-up.
- don't settle for less.

When a saint is in harmony with the Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, the Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ make a harmonious response to that saint.

Do not count to confidently on outward good. Work at it faithfully, hope for it with a well-moderated expectation, but do not set your heart upon it as an indispensable blessing. Be prepared to do without it.
- have a heart filled with grace no matter the outcome.

Guard carefully against the worst evils.

Anticipate divine discipline.

---------------------------------=

A saint has to be real about "pumping up" and real about "going off-track."
- motivation issue
- why are you doing what you are doing?
- what are you getting out of it?
- are you trying to become something or are you reinforcing something?
- why is going "off-track" appealing?

Understanding that present problems won't matter in the long term can help me be more "well-adjusted."

Service for Jesus is always a privilege.

Ask yourself how a choice or actions or decision will look in light of eternity.

The love action registers with the Heavenly Father and Jesus.
- love is the key.

See conflict as coming from the Heavenly Father so you don't become resentful at the person who is attacking you.
- spirit of quietness
- be careful

-------------------------------------=

If you are advancing, you probably have to face more challenges.

When things are unpleasant, it is appropriate and wise to thank the Heavenly Father that things aren't always as unpleasant as they are at that particular moment.

Matthew 5:16 let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father Who is in Heaven.

Matthew 6:1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them, otherwise ye have no reward of your Father Who is in Heaven.

- Motivation issue

- "Cooperating" as opposed to a "goal" of being seen.

You have to be grounded to graduate.
- the storms will keep coming to see if you are truly committed.

You have to be balanced to be grounded.

A saint has to reflect Jesus for a saint to have a grounded foundation to progress upon.
- fruit of the Spirit
- David was a man after God's own heart.

--------------------------------------------=

Psalms 119:132 Look Thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as Thou usest to do unto those who love Thy Name.

Psalms 103:8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

Psalms 107:1 (118:29) O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever.

Psalms 108:4,5 For Thy mercy is great above the heavens: and Thy truth reacheth unto the clouds. Be Thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and Thy glory above all the earth;

Psalms 111:4 He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.

Isaiah 48:17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the LORD thy God Who teacheth thee to profit, Who leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

----------------------=

A saint might not get judged or corrected as harshly as a saint might expect....

but, on the other hand....

a saint might not get the relief a saint wants as soon as the saint would like to get the relief (or get the relief the way the saint might want to get the relief).

Dangerous dissatisfaction

Luke 11:34 – 36 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

Take heed therefore that the light that is in thee be not darkness.

If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

It’s an ancient idea: sin is its own punishment. It distorts our souls, perverts our reason, shrivels our imaginations.

Develop the process of disciplining your mind to think truthfully, carefully, and comprehensively.
- Scripturally about all matters.

Psalms 33:20 – 22 Our soul waiteth for the LORD: He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy Name. Let Thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in Thee.

God has not left you to get along the best that you can.
- God helps you get along with Him and His encouragement.
- The God of all comfort

If we hope to maintain a grateful spirit, we must find a consistent motivation. Since the only constant factor in our lives is the Lord Himself, on Him is where our focus should be placed.

Psalms 146:5 - 10 Happy is he who hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God: Who made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: Who keepeth truth for ever: Who executeth judgment for the oppressed: Who giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners: The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them who are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous: The LORD preserveth the strangers; He relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked He turneth upside down. The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.

Learn how to establish the truth in your heart by faith so that you can live and walk as a saint.

Prayer (fellowship with the Heavenly Father), regularly relying on the Holy Spirit and trusting in the Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ gives a saint energy, power, refreshment and renewing to live obediently to the Holy Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ

Cultivate a delight in the Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to have a proper focus about serving Jesus rather than being afflicted by fears, anxieties, wrong thinking, and wrong feelings.
