Ein Mensch, dem's ziemlich dreckig geht,
h�rt t�glich doch, von fr�h bis sp�t,
dass ihm das Schicksal viel noch g�nnte
und er im Grunde froh sein k�nnte;
Dass, angesichts manch schwererer B�rde
noch der und jener froh sein w�rde;
Dass, falls man etwas tiefer sch�rfte,
er eigentlich noch froh sein d�rfte;
Dass, wenn genau man's nehmen wollte,
er, statt zu jammern, froh sein sollte;
Dass, wenn er andrer Sorgen w�sste,
er �berhaupt noch froh sein m�sste.
Der Mensch, er h�rt das mit Verdruss,
denn unfroh bleibt, wer froh sein muss.
