I went on the Uganda, I thought in 1981 but it could have been 1980. We went from Southampton and stopped at Casablanca, Gilbralter, Lisbon and Prai De Rocha in Portugal, where the shipped anchored at sea and we travelled ashore on the lifeboats and had a day on the beach. Then returned to UK (Tilbury)
I was from St Thomas School, Leabank, B'ham and we had Vasco De Gama dorm.......great experience
