 I remember my time on this ship fondly.
I think I just turned 11, we left from Southport docks (I think). Their was a band playing i am sailing when we departed. Our dorm was near the front of the ship. Which left most of us sea sick for days. We had a few boring class lessons and all we wanted to do was go to the back of the ship and choose records on the juke box. I think I choose pop music talk about. We went to Tangiers, Morocco, Gibraltar, Portugal cant remember where else. I won a ticket to visit the engine room and even was allowed to have ago on at steering the ship and setting the engine speed under a watchful eye of the captain.
was a great adventure for a 11 year old first time away from parents.
