I was on the cruise from Tilbury with Wargrave Piggott school to Casablanca, Madeira, Tenerife and Lisbon. And, I remember the first 4 days, wet, rough, diesel fuel smell below deck, and watching the heaving swell from the common room at the stern as the soft drinks went flying. Ships concert, a lovely lass called Isabelle from Congleton, the discos. And the girls from St Peter Port who waved goodbye to me in the coach when we went home. That made my day! A fantastic experience that stays with me to this day.
