I swung by the mailing address that seller s-o-n gave in his winner notification after my repeated attempts to call his 1-800 number to inquire about a personal pickup were unsuccessful, and it's merely an apartment building.
This seems more and more like one of those quick-cash scams to me now, where a seller closes a large volume of high-end auction listings at once and then "skips town" after the payments come rolling in. That must be the reason why he requested full payment within seven days. I also think that some of his ratings have come from bogus userID's (aliases).

I think it's time to contact e-Bay Safeharbour about this seller before more money is lost.
