I stumbled across this site today and am delighted that there are other people looking for information about men who served aboard the U.S.S. Darke during W.W.II. John Di Girolamo went directly from Small Boats training at San Diego to the Darke and served on it until the end of the war where he landed in Norfolk to be discharged at Great Lakes, Illinois. His children would like to have any information anyone can supply about nis Navy duty. He is deceased so we can not furnish any information about anyone else.
We would be very grateful for any connection.
