Subject: The Grizzly

It was a quiet morning, but something wasn't right. The middle of winter was approaching, yet a grizzly female was awake. Amaroq moved the pack swiftly along the riverside. Not long after that, Snow Angel smelled the female grizzly. She yip-barked at Amaroq, and the whole pack was sent into a sprint. But they were going the wrong way. Kapperu, hanging at the back, was the last one to hear the alpha whimper as he was sent to the ground. Grizzle couldn't make any sound, for he had been thrown onto a jagged rock and died instantly. Snow Angel and Aaka had seen enough. They threw their heads back in a howl, and scurried off alone, as if on the hunt. Wind Chaser bounded up to his father, who was barely breathing, and layed down next to him. The grizzly bear rushed back to the den to feed her cubs. As nightfall came, Snow Angel and Aaka returned. Aaka layed next to her mate. Snow Angel layed next to Kapperu. Wind Chaser got up and slept next to Amaroqee. Suddenly, Aaka felt Amaroq go cold. She howled and whimpered, then snuck closer to him. Amaroq didn't make it to morning, but Aaka would not leave the spot. Kapperu stood up and took the alpha pose. Snow Angel quietly walked up to him, and gently bit his throat. He was the new alpha. With that, he rounded up the remaining wolves, and set off. Later that day, he and Snow Angel mated. PUPPIES!!
